"FOLKLORICA" is a multiliteral project which aims to remove diversities within cultures across Europe. We believe that loneliness in modern world can be exceeded by the brotherhood of the cultures. The traditional songs, dances and games are an excellent way to preserve and promote the culture, traditions and wisdom of the people living in the European countries. We think folk dances are the reflection of culture and daily life. This is the best way to learn the other cultures in funny ways. The project has a goal to change of bias about nationalities and support the improvement of worldwide understanding of the diversity of cultures and finding similarities and differences between their eating habits, national and religious ceremonies, and especially in visual arts such as theatre, cinema, music and plays which are accepted as a proof of the history of that country within the EU. Learners and teachers will be aware of different cultures in many visual activities detailed in activity plan. We strongly believe that, these kinds of activities and integration between the partner schools will definitely be useful to accomplish self-confidence, trust in each other and total sympathy and tolerance. In the other way, we want to give a chance to students to be encouraged to use English, which is a global language, in an enjoyable way.

Through this whole project, we try to reinforce the European dimension in school education by encouraging communication and cooperation between students, teachers and institutions, enrich teachers’ and students teaching and learning strategies. We consider that the schools' involvement in such project will be a good opportunity for achieving a greater understanding of European citizenship and culture and of each other's own national culture. We intend and expect for pupils to improve their ICT skills in order to learn, to communicate and to express themselves; to improve social skills, such as the ability to communicate with schools and local authorities, etc…; we want them to have a positive attitude towards different cultures and different languages of each part of Europe.
